Changing a wheel safely
To change a wheel, stop on firm, level ground in a safe location, apply the parking brake and engage first or reverse gear. Before raising the vehicle, slightly loosen the wheel bolts while the tyre still bears weight. Position the jack only at the manufacturer's specified jacking point and observe the restrictions shown for a temporary spare wheel.
