Vehicle combinations permitted by category B with code 96
A category B licence bearing harmonised code 96 authorises a car towing a non-light trailer with a maximum authorised mass over 750 kg, provided the maximum authorised mass of the complete combination does not exceed 4,250 kg. Code 96 may be obtained either together with category B or subsequently by passing the prescribed practical test in a suitable vehicle combination.
