Vehicles permitted with a category B licence
A category B licence authorises motor vehicles with a maximum authorised mass not exceeding 3.5 tonnes and designed to carry no more than eight passengers in addition to the driver. It covers passenger cars, including those towing a light trailer with a maximum authorised mass up to 750 kg, and motor caravans whose maximum authorised mass does not exceed 3.5 tonnes.
