Exemptions from wearing a seat belt
Pregnant women with a specifically certified medical risk and people with certain certified medical conditions may be exempt from wearing a seat belt. The exemption must be supported by the required medical certification; pregnancy or illness alone does not automatically provide an exemption. Driving instructors are also exempt while carrying out their professional duties.
