Red dashboard warning lamps

Red dashboard lamps identify a warning or condition requiring immediate attention, such as excessive coolant temperature or insufficient engine-oil pressure. The hazard warning control or tell-tale is also associated with red. Direction indicators and dipped headlights normally use green tell-tales, while main beam uses blue; fog-light colours depend on front or rear function.
