Risks when driving an SUV
A high, heavy vehicle has larger blind areas, needs more space and can cause severe injury in a collision. Projecting reinforced bumpers or bull bars may worsen the consequences for pedestrians and smaller vehicles. In urban driving and emergency manoeuvres, account for the vehicle's dimensions, centre of gravity and reduced view of low obstacles such as children.
