Risks associated with heavy vehicles and buses
Heavy vehicles need more room to manoeuvre, have extensive blind spots and can cause particularly serious consequences in a collision. Their risk rises further when speed limits are ignored because their kinetic energy and stopping requirements are much greater. Avoid lingering beside them, leave a generous following distance and anticipate wide turns.
