Using the warning triangle outside built-up areas

Outside built-up areas, use the triangle at night for a stopped vehicle whose rear lights do not provide adequate warning and for any load that has fallen onto the carriageway. It is also compulsory by day when a stationary vehicle cannot be seen clearly from at least 100 metres away. Place the triangle at the prescribed distance and where approaching drivers can see it in time.
