Warning traffic of hazardous substances on the road

Warn approaching traffic from every exposed direction and prevent vehicles from entering the contaminated area. On a non-urban road, place the portable triangle where it gives effective advance warning, even in the carriageway if necessary. Use manual signals on the side not protected by the triangle and contact the competent authorities so the hazard can be removed safely.
