Warning traffic of a collision on a non-urban road

Place the portable warning triangle where approaching traffic can see it in time, while taking care not to expose yourself to further danger. Warning the area is an immediate duty and is not replaced by merely contacting the police. If an obstruction or fallen load cannot be removed, both effective warning and notification to the appropriate authority may be necessary.
