Traffic rules, manoeuvres and driving conduct
Road crest on a two-way road
A crest hides approaching traffic and hazards beyond its highest point. On the uphill approach of this two-way road, keep well to the right, moderate speed and remain prepared for an oncoming vehicle that cannot yet be seen. Do not overtake where the available view is insufficient. In road-layout questions, identify the direction of travel, visibility and road position before assessing the manoeuvre.
