Left-turn paths at a two-way junction

The diagram must not be turned into an absolute rule for every junction. The correct left-turn path depends on the junction layout and on any signs, lane arrows or markings. The related official statement is false because it claims that drivers must always occupy the right-hand side of the junction exactly as shown. In the theory test, words such as 'always' are important: a path shown in one layout cannot override different signs or geometry at another junction.
