Traffic rules, manoeuvres and driving conduct

Turning at a roundabout

At a junction governed by the roundabout sign, a driver wishing to take an exit to the left must travel around the central island in the direction shown by the sign. The path of vehicle H illustrates this movement; the driver must not cut across in front of the centre. The roundabout sign establishes the direction of circulation. Priority on entry must be determined from any GIVE WAY or other priority signs present, since the roundabout sign alone does not establish priority.
