Carrying animals and loads on motorcycles and motor vehicles

An animal may be transported on a motorcycle only in an appropriate, securely fixed cage or container. A motorcycle load may not project laterally by more than 50 centimetres from the vehicle's longitudinal centreline. On motor vehicles, a load must not reduce the driver's visibility or freedom of movement, must be secured against falling and must not exceed the permitted payload. It may not project beyond the front. Where allowed, an indivisible load may project at the rear by up to three tenths of the vehicle's length and must carry the approved red-and-white retroreflective panel, not a red cloth or a yellow-and-red panel.
