Particularly moderate speed at junctions and narrowings

Drivers must use a particularly moderate speed when approaching junctions, through narrow sections and wherever the available width makes it difficult to pass oncoming vehicles. The same applies where visibility is restricted by bends or humps and where pedestrians must walk on the carriageway because there is no pavement. Speed must also be reduced when the surface is slippery because of water, snow, ice, leaves or mud. It is not chosen according to how rushed the driver feels or solely according to their health; all actual conditions must be considered.
