Reduce speed in mixed traffic and for poor road-surface conditions
Drivers must reduce speed when different road users share the road, such as fast and slow vehicles, animals and pedestrians. Speed must also reflect the actual road surface, including potholes, unevenness, mud or wet leaves, because these conditions reduce grip and can make sudden avoidance manoeuvres necessary.
