Prolonged whistle blast: all traffic must stop

A prolonged whistle blast from a traffic officer means that all vehicles must stop as soon as they can do so safely. It may be used to allow emergency-service vehicles on an urgent call to pass. Anyone already in the junction must clear it and, if necessary, stop immediately beyond it.
