Take extra care near pedestrian crossings
Near a pedestrian crossing, reduce speed and be ready to stop. A pedestrian may become unsure and suddenly turn back; older people may cross slowly or with difficulty; and children may act unpredictably. Never assume that a pedestrian has seen you or will continue at a steady pace.
