Road with three carriageways and eight lanes

Longitudinal dividers physically separate three carriageways. The two side carriageways normally carry traffic in one direction only, while the central carriageway carries traffic in both directions. The eight lanes are the longitudinal strips used by lines of vehicles and must not be confused with the three carriageways. In this layout, overtaking may also be permitted on a bend when it takes place within the lanes for the driver's direction and all other safety requirements are met. U-turns are not permitted on the one-way side carriageways.
