First aid for chest trauma
If a conscious road casualty has suffered chest trauma, help them breathe by placing them in a semi-seated position and keep them as still as possible. If there is a visible deep wound, cover it promptly with a clean cloth as indicated in the theory-test guidance. Stay with the casualty and monitor them until professional medical help arrives.
