Slippery road features for two-wheeled vehicles

Tram rails, painted pedestrian-crossing markings and manhole covers can all reduce grip for a two-wheeled vehicle, especially when wet. Approach them at a controlled speed, keep the motorcycle as upright as possible, avoid abrupt braking or acceleration and cross rails at a sufficiently open angle so that a wheel does not become trapped or slide along them.
