Suspension of a driving licence
Licence suspension is an ancillary penalty arising from specified Road Traffic Code offences. It is imposed, for example, when a novice driver disregards the applicable vehicle or speed restrictions, or when a driver exceeds the maximum speed limit by more than 40 km/h. During the suspension period the holder must not drive.
