Seat-belt warning light

The symbol shows a seated person wearing a seat belt and appears on a red warning light. If it remains on while the vehicle is moving, the driver or a passenger has not fastened their seat belt; an audible warning is often given as well. For the theory test, the colour of a vehicle warning light is important: red indicates an urgent or dangerous condition, amber indicates a fault or a need for attention, green indicates that a device is operating, and blue is used for main-beam headlights. Do not confuse a control with the warning light that shows the corresponding system's status.
