Engine coolant-temperature warning lamp
If it illuminates while driving, the coolant has exceeded the manufacturer's safe temperature and the engine may be overheating. Stop safely as soon as possible, switch off the engine and follow the manufacturer's instructions; never open a hot pressurised cooling system. The symbol does not identify the windscreen-washer reservoir, coolant level or engine or gearbox oil temperature.
