Battery charging-system warning lamp

If the lamp stays on after the engine starts or comes on while driving, electrical power may be supplied only by the battery and will eventually run out. Reduce unnecessary electrical loads, stop safely and have the alternator, drive belt and charging circuit checked. The symbol identifies a charging fault rather than measuring the battery's exact state of charge.
