Rear marker plate for heavy goods vehicles
This reflective plate makes a heavy goods vehicle easier to recognise from behind. In the related questions it belongs to a goods vehicle over 3.5 tonnes, not to a trailer or semi-trailer. It is not the square red-and-white plate used for a projecting load and it is not placed on the road as an obstacle warning. Compare the plate's shape and pattern before deciding whether it identifies a heavy vehicle, trailer or projecting load.
