Secure a parked vehicle against movement
Secure the vehicle on every gradient, not only on a steep road. Apply the parking brake and engage a suitable low gear rather than leaving the transmission in neutral. On a steep slope, also turn the wheels towards the kerb so that any unintended movement is arrested by it. With an automatic transmission, use the prescribed parking position.
