Overtaking a police vehicle and responding to an unsafe overtake

A police vehicle not using emergency warning devices is subject to the ordinary overtaking rules. If another vehicle is overtaking you while oncoming traffic approaches, help reduce the danger by moving as close as possible to the right-hand edge and, when appropriate, reducing speed. Do not accelerate, compete or use main beam as a warning.
