Headlamp flashing and speed during overtaking

A brief main-beam flash may be used to signal the intention to overtake, but it does not grant priority or replace the direction indicator and safety checks. Use a lawful speed that provides a sufficient difference to complete the manoeuvre promptly. After passing, return smoothly with a safe gap and without slowing abruptly in front of the other vehicle.
