Where U-turns are prohibited
Do not make a U-turn where the road layout prevents you from seeing approaching traffic in time, including near or on bends and crests, or near or within junctions. The absence of road markings does not itself prohibit the manoeuvre, but every applicable sign, line and visibility condition must be respected. U-turns are prohibited on motorways.
