Turning left at a junction on a two-way road

The diagram concerns the position and path normally used for a left turn from a two-way carriageway. Vehicles A and N approach the centre of the junction and follow the shown paths without cutting across it incorrectly. Unless signs or road markings prescribe otherwise, each vehicle keeps the centre of the junction on the appropriate side while completing the turn. The image explains turning paths, not which vehicle has priority. Priority must be assessed separately from signs, signals and the vehicles' approach directions.
