Traffic rules, manoeuvres and driving conduct
Meeting a procession in a built-up area
Do not drive through or split a procession. Stop safely on the right and wait until the whole procession has passed and the carriageway is clear, without sounding the horn to hurry people along. If possible, take a side road only when the diversion and manoeuvre can be made lawfully and safely. Avoid reversing or making a U-turn when that would obstruct traffic; haste, main beam and continuous horn use never justify driving through the procession.
