Risk of parked-car doors opening

Leave adequate lateral clearance when passing parked vehicles, especially when occupants are visible, because a door may open suddenly into your path. Parked vehicles can also conceal a wheelchair user, a pedestrian pushing a pram or another vulnerable road user about to cross. Low speed reduces the consequences but does not eliminate the need for clearance and observation.
