Speed limits, hazards, traffic obstruction and level crossings
Maximum speeds on main non-urban roads
On main non-urban roads, cars, motorcycles, goods vehicles and motor caravans up to 3.5 tonnes may ordinarily travel at 110 km/h. The same value applies to a car with a carrello appendice, because this Italian appendage trailer is treated as part of the vehicle. A car towing an ordinary trailer, including a light trailer or a 900 kg caravan, is instead limited to 70 km/h. Road trains are also limited to 70 km/h. Always distinguish a carrello appendice from a true trailer.
