Supplementary panels
Supplementary panel for shunting or siding tracks
The rectangular supplementary panel with two stylised locomotives warns that the road crosses or approaches railway tracks used for shunting or as industrial sidings, especially near a freight yard. It is used beneath the other-dangers warning sign to specify the hazard. It does not indicate an ordinary two-track level crossing or a tram crossing, advertise a model-railway area or give instructions to train drivers. Its specific reference is to shunting and siding movements.
