One-way traffic ahead

The blue rectangular sign with an upward white arrow indicates that the road ahead carries traffic in one direction only. Because no traffic is permitted to approach from the opposite direction, a U-turn would place the vehicle against the authorised flow and is prohibited. This is an information sign for one-way traffic, not a mandatory straight-ahead sign. It does not by itself prohibit turning into an available side road.
