Priority signs
Traffic merging from the right with an acceleration lane
This triangular warning sign shows a lane merging into the main carriageway from the right. It normally warns of right-side merging traffic using an acceleration lane and may also be found on a motorway. Traffic on the main carriageway has priority over vehicles joining from the right, but drivers must still be highly attentive and adjust speed to prevent a collision. A GIVE WAY sign is placed on the joining slip road. This sign does not permit a right turn at the next junction and does not require main-road traffic to give way to vehicles merging from the right.
