Slippery road

This triangular sign shows a skidding car. It warns of a stretch where tyre grip may be reduced, particularly under weather conditions specified on a supplementary plate. Reduce speed, increase your safety margin and avoid sudden braking, acceleration or steering. The sign does not indicate crosswinds, a narrowing, many bends or improved tyre grip. A supplementary plate may identify rain, ice or another condition that makes the surface slippery.
