Warning signs
Opening bridge
This warning sign indicates an opening bridge. The symbol shows part of a bridge raised above water, warning that the bridge may be operated and traffic may have to stop. The sign may be accompanied by a plate showing operating times or by the three-stripe countdown marker. Flashing red lights may be found after the sign: stop when they are operating. The sign does not mean a port area, a level crossing, a steep bridge or a requirement to give way to oncoming traffic.
