Dangerous bend to the left

This triangular warning sign shows a black bend curving to the left. It normally warns of a dangerous left-hand bend about 150 metres ahead, where the road is not straight and visibility is restricted. Reduce speed so that you can stop if an unexpected obstruction appears, taking account of visibility, the bend radius and road conditions. On a two-way road with only two lanes, keep as close as possible to the right-hand edge and do not overtake. This is not a mandatory sign: it does not require you to keep left and does not indicate a roundabout, roadworks or a prohibition on turning left.
