Motor tricycles have three symmetrically arranged wheels
A motor tricycle has three wheels arranged symmetrically about its longitudinal centre line. In the classification used by the theory test, it falls outside the moped limits because its combustion-engine capacity exceeds 50 cm3 or its maximum design speed exceeds 45 km/h. It is a distinct class and is not a motorcycle fitted with a sidecar.
