Handlebar engine-stop switch on powered two-wheelers

On a powered two-wheeler, the emergency engine-stop switch on the handlebar allows the rider to stop the engine without taking their hands off the handlebar. It must be in the ON or RUN position before the engine can start. It supplements rather than replaces the keyed ignition or other main starting authorisation.
