How ABS assists emergency braking

ABS rapidly modulates brake pressure to prevent the wheels from remaining locked. This allows the driver to retain steering control and correct the vehicle's path during emergency braking while using the maximum grip available at the tyres. The system acts on every wheel equipped with its control circuit, including driven wheels.
