Drugs and impaired driving

Hashish, marijuana, heroin and cocaine can all impair driving by altering perception, attention, judgement and reaction. LSD and amphetamines also compromise driving ability. Some sedative medicines contain active substances that can cause similar impairment, so their warnings must be taken seriously.
