Signal every lane change and turn
Signal early enough to inform other road users, then check mirrors and blind spots and move only when safe. The requirement applies on one-way and two-way roads, including divided carriageways, and when moving towards either edge to stop. Direction indicators communicate a change of direction or lateral position; they are not used to warn of sudden braking.
