High-visibility reflective vest or braces

Put on the approved reflective garment before leaving a vehicle that is stopped where it cannot be seen sufficiently early, including on emergency lanes and in lay-bys. It protects the person from being overlooked but does not replace the portable warning triangle when that triangle is required to mark the vehicle or load. Approved garments are not necessarily yellow, and one is not required for every passenger seat.
