Detached trailers and statutory parking prohibitions

Do not leave a detached trailer parked in a built-up area unless the location is expressly authorised. Many parking prohibitions arise directly from the Highway Code, such as those at crossings, junctions or other hazardous locations; a sign is not required to make those rules enforceable. Always apply both the general statutory rules and any local signs.
