Stopping, parking, traffic-imposed halts and moving off
Do not park where another parked vehicle is trapped
Leave every lawfully parked vehicle enough room to enter or leave its space. Double parking by motor vehicles is prohibited because it blocks vehicles and narrows the carriageway; the stated exception concerns two-wheeled vehicles. Hazard warning lights, a short duration or remaining road width do not legalise double parking. Public-transport stops and stands must also remain clear.
