A left turn and the centre of the junction

The figure shows two vehicles and their left-turn paths around the central area of a junction. The rule is not to drive around the centre as though it were a roundabout island. On a two-way road, the normal path uses the left-hand part of the junction and leaves its centre on the vehicle's right, unless the geometry, a central island, signs or markings require otherwise. The driver must still give way where required and avoid cutting across another vehicle's path.
