Preparing to turn left on a two-way carriageway

Signal in good time and approach the centre line without crossing into the opposing lane before the turn. At an unsigned junction, observe the normal priority-to-the-right rule; also give way to oncoming traffic when your left-turn path crosses it. Complete the turn at a controlled speed and follow any markings or signs that prescribe a different path.
